Sources: The Jonas Brothers Will Perform In Asbury Park Sunday

The MTV VIdeo Music Awards are coming to the Garden State next week, taking over the Prudential Center in Newark on Monday.

The local hype, though, has been thanks to a tidbit dropped a few days ago.

Last week, MTV said that the Jonas Brothers wouldn't be performing in Newark, but at, "an iconic location along the New Jersey shoreline".

Ok, first of all, nobody calls it "the New Jersey shoreline", but I digress.

Obviously, when we think of the Jersey Shore and iconic music venues, the first place your mind goes is to the Stone Pony in Asbury Park.

This afternoon, those theories seem to have been confirmed.

The Asbury Park Press reports that "multiple sources" have confirmed that Kevin, Nick, and Joe will be in Asbury this weekend.

According to the APP story, they'll be filming their performance both inside of the Stone Pony and on the boardwalk this Sunday.

Sadly, no, you can't get tickets, but the story does note that, "the boardwalk scene should be viewable from a distance".
