Summertime in New Jersey and whether you live here in the Garden State or you are visiting from out of state, if you come to Jersey in the summer you will have to drive the Garden State Parkway.

Millions take to the Parkway during the summer and it can be busy as we all know. I will be honest and say so far this summer I have not seen crazy traffic on the Garden State Parkway. This can be good for your commuting, but could it mean fewer vacationers are visiting New Jersey this summer?

It still seems that the two most challenging times during the week, during summer, on the Garden State Parkway continue to be Friday nights with visitors coming to Jersey for the weekend and Sunday afternoons with drivers heading back home.
My grade for the Garden State Parkway for the summer of 2022 is a B-. Do you think I'm being too generous or do you agree? I just find traffic to be moving pretty good even on those hard-to-drive times. EZ has made tolls much easier to flow through and construction seems, for the most part, to occur during off-peak hours. All of these factors for me are why I'll go with a B-.
