Small Plane Crashes In South Jersey Killing One [VIDEO]
A small place has crashed into a wooded area in Hamilton Township killing one person.
WMGM TV reports the plane came down around 5:00 p.m. in the Laureldale section of Hamilton off Columbia Road and Cypruss Street near exit #17 of the Atlantic City Expressway after taking off from Cross Keys Airport in Hamilton.
A fire broke out when the plane hit the ground but there are no homes in the area. Wreckage was scattered for about a mile around the crash scene.
The Federal Aviation Administration says there was only one person on the plane and has not identified that person. The plane, a homemade Vans (RV7A), sustained substantial damage according to the FAA.
WCAU TV reports neighbors saw the plane flying low before crashing.
