Six Flags Hurricane Harbor to Open For It’s 25th Amazing Season
Cool Off! Hurricane Harbor Is Getting Ready To Open
Summer is fast approaching, and soon we will be looking for fun places to relax and cool off, and for many, nothing is better than a waterpark. One of the largest waterparks in New Jersey is getting set to re-open for its 25th season.

I remember being there 25 years ago when Six Flags Great Adventure opened its gates for the first time and thrilled kids and families with lots of fun in the sun and the water in Jackson, New Jersey.
According to Six Flags, Six Flags Hurricane Harbor officially opens for its 25th season on Saturday, May 17. The windswept island-themed water park will operate from 10:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
2025 highlights include:
- Splash Island – Introduced in 2024, this vibrant, multi-level play area remains a favorite for younger guests. Featuring water sprayers, mini-slides, and a giant tipping bucket, it’s a must-visit for families with little ones.
- Return of Big Wave Racer – Guest favorite 6 lane mat racing/slide complex.
- Expanded Shade & Seating Areas – The park will offer more comfort and convenience with upgraded lounge chairs, oversized umbrellas, and private cabanas spread throughout the park.
- New Live Entertainment – Guests can enjoy the tropical sounds of Caribbean Steel, a lively steel drum band performing on select summer weekends in June and July.
Six Flags added, "The best way to experience all the thrills of Hurricane Harbor this season is with a 2025 Six Flags Gold Season Pass. Season Passholders can enjoy unlimited visits all season long, plus added perks like free parking, exclusive discounts, and early access to select attractions."
Grab your sunblock and head to Hurricane Harbor for some fun this summer. Who knows you might even run into Tweety Bird and Sylvester lol
