I'll be honest, I'm a big fan of the "check yourself out lanes" at almost all Ocean County grocery stores these days. Now, one of the biggest fast food chains in the country is looking to bring the same idea to all of their restaurants.

Wendy's, which has dozens of outlets up and down the Jersey Shore, is planning to make self serve kiosks available to all of their 6,000 plus restaurants nationally.

They're saying that rising costs are the main motivation behind the move. In the end it's always a shame when jobs may be at stake, but let's be totally honest, if you can pop in, touch a few icons on a screen, swipe your credit card, and get your dinner in only a few minutes, it's a pretty appealing idea.

Right now, the chain is saying that they plan to have the option available to all of their restaurants by the second half of the year, so we could very well be seeing it in Ocean County by the time the fall or winter rolls around.

What do you think, is this a good idea or a bad move that's just cutting jobs? Chime in on the comments!
