Seaside Heights man struck and killed Friday morning

A 62 year old Seaside Heights man was struck and killed by a GMC van early Friday morning on Route 37 near Peter Avenue. 

When police and medical units arrived on scene they located 62 year old Bruce Nussenbaum deceased asx a result of being struck by a 2006 GMC van.

The van was operated by 47 year old Toms River resident Richard Roshop. Nussenbaum was in the roadway and not the crosswalk when he was struck.

The crash is being investigated by Toms River Traffic Officer Terrence Warren, other members of the TRPD Traffic Unit, and Detectives from the Ocean County Prosecutors Office.

No summonses have been issued.
