Since 2018, Asbury Park's Sea.Hear.Now music festival has become an iconic end of the summer outdoor music event.

Over the last few years, organizers have brought iconic bands like The Dave Matthews Band, the B-52s, Joan Jett, and more to the beach in Asbury Park.

Before the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic hit, Rock & Roll Hall of Famers Pearl Jam were set to take the stage this very weekend, with September 19th and 20th the original dates.

But things have changed a lot since the March 2020 announcement. In fact, it was only days later that the severity of the pandemic really hit and bands around the world cleared their schedules for the remainder of the year.

In June, though, Sea.Hear.Now organizers reassured fans that not only will the festival return in September 2021, but that Pearl Jam will remain in the headliner spot.

They added to the anticipation today by dropping another group of big names into the lineup, with the Smashing Pumpkins, Patty Smith, Patti Scialfa, and more to the bill:

The 2021 Sea.Hear.Now music festival is set for September 18th and 19th, 2021 and now boasts a lineup that includes more than two dozen bands over the two days, plus professional surf demonstrations, art installations, and a lot more.

In addition to today's announcement, Sea.Hear.Now also opened up blocks of tickets for everything from general admission all the way up to "VIP, Platinum, and Ultimate" ticket package levels.
