It was an amazing day on a beautiful Easter Sunday in Point Pleasant Beach, New Jersey. It's an annual event at Jenkinson's Boardwalk that has been a fun family event for Easter for many years. Sponsored by the Point Pleasant Beach Chamber of Commerce and local businesses, it's a great way to celebrate Easter at the Jersey Shore.

I love seeing all the wonderful families on the boardwalk in Point Pleasant Beach every Easter Sunday. It's a combination of the Easter Holiday and the kick-off of spring at the Shore. It's a great community event with various local officials serving as judges for the various contests that are held. Contests like best Easter floats, Easter outfits, and even an Easter "bonnet" competition, which is always a tradition at the event.

Thousands lined the Jenkinson's Boardwalk as the Easter Parade took place. It's a short little parade but fun for the families involved and the spectators. The parade is led by a local three-piece band and of course the "Easter Bunnies". The participants in the contests march along so folks can see the outfits, floats, bonnets, etc. Some great photo ops each Easter.

Thanks to participating businesses that helped make the festivities and prizes available to the kids and families. We look forward to more exciting family events this spring and summer at Jenkinson's Boardwalk in Point Pleasant Beach.

Take a moment to look through our photo gallery from this year's event and maybe you will spot yourself. Happy Easter and thanks for letting us spend the day with you :)
