Recently we heard about a story where 24 dogs were rescued from a hoarding situation in Ocean County.

The rescued dogs will be checked out by a veterinarian and will get spayed and neutered, vaccinated, evaluated and micro-chipped before they become available for adoption. They'll be up for adoption from two shelters in Ocean County. According to WOBM News, some dogs will go to the Ocean County Animal Facility in Manahawkin and Jackson.

The dogs that will be available for adoption are a mixed breed of small dogs, puppies, and a bulldog.

If you’re interested in adopting a shelter pet, the Ocean County Animal Facilities are located at 615 Freemont Street in Jackson and 360 Haywood Road in Manahawkin. Both facilities are open to the public 7 days a week from 1-4 PM and until 6:30 PM on Wednesday. For more information please call 732-657-8086 or 609-978-0127.
