We're getting into the perfect time of year to do some baking - pumpkin bread, apple pie, and muffins of all kinds are perfect when fall rolls around, but the FDA has issued a warning about a popular brand of flour this week.

Yesterday, the U.S. Food & Drug Administration announced that General Mills has issued a voluntary recall for 5-pound bags of Gold Medal Unbleached All Purpose Flour.

The recall says that the batch could have been contaminated with E. coli.

The recall is only for those 5-pound bags that have a "better if used by" date of September 6, 2020.

In their announcement, General Mills says that consumers should throw out the product if they have already bought it.

If you've already bought one of the 5-pound bags and thrown it out, you can get more information about how to contact General Mills' Customer Relations by clicking here.
