Take a look at our wonderful trip to Happy Day Farm in Manalapan, New Jersey a perfect place for a day trip for the whole family in Monmouth County.

This farm is a fun day trip that we totally enjoyed. First, we went through the lavender fields and took a bunch of photos. Lots of purples and great smells. Folks came out in various outfits to get photos amidst the lavender. Some families brought photographers but the staff at the farm will help you out and snap pics for you. The farm has all kinds of props in the lavender field to pose with so be ready to strike a pose.

In addition to the lavender field, they also have a general store, refreshments, a paintball shooting target exhibit, and a little animal zoo you can enjoy. This of course in addition to the big feature, the raspberries. It was my first time picking raspberries and it was a great experience. Little easier than the strawberries a few weeks ago, because the bushes are higher and less bending lol

The raspberries are ready and we got a “bucket” because April is canning the raspberries. She is making jam and a chocolate raspberry sauce. Booth dishes are delicious and well worth a day on the farm picking. One tip, pick red berries in the middle of the bush.
