In a time when we can use some good news, Monmouth County Parks officials announced today that Manasquan Reservoir could be hosting bald eagle chicks.

I say "could be" because the Parks System's Facebook post points out that scientists haven't gotten close enough to see inside the nest.

They also point out that the public should also give the big birds plenty of space, saying, "This is an extremely sensitive time for eagles as a nest can fail with disturbance of people getting too close."
