Something that is always interesting to me and I am sure many of you are "hmm what is this project?" You are traveling around town and notice a project, but there is no one around to ask, so you wonder "I wonder if anyone knows about this construction?".

In this latest project, I was traveling along Route 9 just south of Manahawkin, in Eagleswood Township. I have had several people ask me if I knew what was being built here and honestly, I do not. I did take a few photos of the project area and now I will throw them out there for you to see and maybe share any information you may have.

In my opinion, it appears to be a residential development project. A new housing development. In fact, it's situated next to another residential development. This of course may not be the case, but my idea is a new housing development. Located on Route 9 in Eagleswood Township.

The project currently is clearing what appears to be housing lots and enough for several dozen homes possibly. If you think you know what this project is, please post your comments below and let us know. I tried looking for any kind of signage but I didn't see any indicating the project.

This area of Southern Ocean County continues to grow and I would not be surprised if it is a housing development. The construction is near Eagleswood Elementary School.

If this is a housing development it appears to be several blocks maybe of homes. Not a huge housing development, but large enough for a few dozen families to move into Ocean County.

I look forward to your input and seeing if when can solve this question in Eagleswood Township.

LOOK: Speaking of Housing, Think You Want Your Own Castle?

LOOK: Here are the best lake towns to live in

Many of the included towns jump out at the casual observer as popular summer-rental spots--the Ozarks' Branson, Missouri, or Arizona's Lake Havasu--it might surprise you to dive deeper into some quality-of-life offerings beyond the beach and vacation homes. You'll likely pick up some knowledge from a wide range of Americana: one of the last remaining 1950s-style drive-ins in the Midwest; a Florida town that started as a Civil War veteran retirement area; an island boasting some of the country's top public schools and wealth-earners right in the middle of a lake between Seattle and Bellevue; and even a California town containing much more than Johnny Cash's prison blues.
