UPDATE: Prison Time for TWO “Real Housewives of NJ” Stars
A dose of reality for two former "Real Housewives of New Jersey" stars.
Teresa Giudice was sentenced late Thursday to 15 months in prison on conspiracy and bankruptcy fraud charges. Her husband, Giuseppe "Joe" Giudice was sentenced to 41 months in prison earlier in the day. They'll also pay $414,000 in restitution. teresa will serve her sentence first so that Joe can remain at home with the couple's four young children.
The couple pleaded guilty in March to conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud and three kinds of bankruptcy fraud. Joe Giudice also admitted to failing to file a tax return for the year 2004 and failing to file taxes on approximately $1 million between 2004 and 2008. Prosecutors said the couple concealed their assets from creditors and fraudulently applied for about $5 million in loans and mortgages.
