Point Pleasant Beach Police continue investigating a single vehicle accident where a truck ended up inside a residence along Route 35 North and McLean Avenue on Wednesday afternoon.
The driver of the truck, 55-year old Ronald Bennett of Point Pleasant Borough, crashed into a utility pole and then went into a nearby residence around 3:05 pm, according to police.
He was treated at the scene by the Point Pleasant First Aid & Rescue Squad and then brought to the hospital.
Nobody was inside the residence at the time of the crash.
There were several downed electrical lines as a result and that knocked out power for residents and businesses in the area.

Firefighters and JCP&L crews were on the scene and power was restored but work continues to clean up the area.
