PLEASE Stay Off of the Ice on Barnegat Bay

Over the weekend firefighters could have had a scary rescue on the Barnegat Bay and they're saying stay off of the water ways when it is icy, according to APP.com.  Please do not walk across the ice.

According to the report. emergency crews from different towns in Ocean County were called to the Route 37 bridge yesterday because someone driving over the bridge saw two youths walking across the Barnegat Bay.  The emergency crews were ready just in case something would have happened.  But everyone is safe.

So authorities are asking you to please stay off of the ice unless it's been designated safe.  Bottom line, don't try to walk across the ice.
