There is some big summer vacation time news this week as Toms River School officials announced a name change at one of Ocean County's main sports venues.

The Asbury Park Press is reporting that Toms River High School North's Pine Belt Arena will be renamed in time for the new school year.

When the Pine Belt auto dealership's contract expires on September 1st, the area will then be known as The Hackensack Meridian Health Arena.

Toms River's Superintendent David Healy said that in addition to the naming rights, the healthcare group will also be involved with the district's athletic programs, trainers, and nurses.

The Pine Belt Arena sign has hung on North's sports center since 2011, when the former Ritacco Center was renamed.
