Philadelphia man wanted for murdering girlfriend at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Atlantic City
The Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office has issued a BOLO alert after a Philadelphia man fatally stabbed his girlfriend at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Atlantic City on Friday night.
Atlantic County Prosecutor Damon G. Tyner announced in a statement that 59-year old Frankie E. Lane is charged with murder and is wanted by law enforcement following the fatal stabbing of 57-year old Sharon Whaley of Philadelphia.
Tyner said that Atlantic City Police Officers responded to the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino around 9:45 pm on Friday night for a report of a deceased female with multiple stab wounds inside of a hotel room, where officers found Whaley.
The Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit and Atlantic City Police Department were able to identify and charge Whaley’s boyfriend, Frankie E. Lane with murder and weapons offenses.
The investigation continues and so does the search on Monday for Lane.
Tyner said that Whaley’s autopsy will be completed on Monday.
The Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit is working with Atlantic City Police and the Philadelphia Police Department in this investigation.
