If you have free time to spare, more than 25 local non-profit organizations in need of helpers immediately will be recruiting at the Ocean County Library's 2014 Volunteer Fair this Tuesday from 2 p.m to 6:30 p.m. in the Toms River Branch.

The event is free and open to the public. "We're really thrilled to provide this opportunity to connect our residents who want to serve their community with organizations who in fact need their help," said Valerie Bell, the library's Assistant Director for Public Services.

Agencies, including the library, will be looking for a variety of different skills and training is included. The volunteer opportunities include computer work, crafts, construction, tutoring and more.

Bell noted it's a good opportunity for volunteers to find the right fit, adding,"Because it's important that volunteers have a position in an organization where they're going to feel helpful and we can really put their skills to work."
