New Jersey has more sports choices than almost any other state, but does that mean the Garden State is a good place to be a sports fan?

For full disclosure, I am a Giants, Mets, Devils, and Knicks fan. So most days I have a bruised soul regarding my teams.

But I do enjoy all the teams we root for here in the Garden State. We have so many options.

Sure, we pull from Philadelphia and New York when we are choosing our favorite teams, and even though both the Giants and the Jets play in New Jersey, the Devils are technically our only team.

I think it's that fact that prompted The Sports Chief to rank New Jersey as the #21 state in America for sports fans.

How Can New Jersey Rank As The #21 State For Sports Fans?

In my opinion, there is no way that fans who get to choose from two major sports markets can be ranked so low on the list.

Interestingly, New York (#5) and Pennsylvania (#4) both made the top 5 on the list, and I guess New Jersey residents borrowing their teams hurt our ranking just a bit.

According to the article, Texas is the top state in the nation for sports fans, and that's hard to argue with.
