In a social media posting today, the New Jersey State Police are making two things very clear - they will be looking for impaired drivers this weekend, and you can Google all you like, but challenging a DWI checkpoint's legality won't work out in your favor.

Troopers are giving motorists the heads up that they'll be operating a pair of DWI checkpoints this weekend in Cumberland County.

But they're also sending a pretty clear message in a day and age of, as they say, "would-be Google lawyers" - yes, DWI checkpoints are legal, have been upheld in courts, and are not simply a way to stuff the coffers of police departments.
