Hottest States To Buy a New Home Include New Jersey

According to new data, New Jersey is among the Top 10 states for home buying in America. Not a bad rank considering we see so many stories saying people are fleeing the Garden State, are they?

In a recent story published by Patch, they listed the best states for home buying, and New Jersey is included in that list.

 

 

According to Patch, "New Jersey is among the top 10 states in the U.S. where homes are flying off the market fastest, according to Realtor.com. Data released for the month of April shows homes for sale in New Jersey stay on the market for an average of 32 days. The Garden State came in fourth, along with Virginia and Connecticut. Massachusetts took the top spot at a median of 26 days, followed by Maryland and Rhode Island at 30 days, according to Realtor.com."

 

Here's a look at the top 10 states and the median days homes were on the market:

  1. Massachusetts: 26 days
  2. Maryland: 30 days
  3. Rhode Island: 30 days
  4. Virginia: 32 days
  5. New Jersey: 32 days
  6. Connecticut: 32 days
  7. Minnesota: 36 days
  8. Washington: 36 days
  9. Illinois: 36 days
  10. Ohio: 37 days
