It is the final day before Election Day in New Jersey and around the nation. Many eyes are on New Jersey because the typically blue state could turn red, and the race is too close to call, according to the final poll that was released today.

The 2025 New Jersey governor’s race is very close between Mikie Sherrill, a Democrat and current Congresswoman, and Jack Ciattarelli, a Republican and former state lawmaker. Sherrill talks about keeping costs down and keeping New Jersey moving forward without Trump’s influence. Ciattarelli focuses on lowering taxes and giving the state new leadership. The race is tight and being watched across the country to see which way New Jersey will go.

The final poll released by AtlasIntel, which, according to a Patch article, "has been called the most accurate pollster. In 2024, it was the only polling firm to correctly indicate the winner of the presidential race in each state. It also accurately predicted the outcome of the 2020 presidential election."

AtlasIntel NJ Governor Race Poll Results

  • Democrat Mikie Sherrill - 50.2 percent
  • Republican Jack Ciattarelli - 49.3 percent
  • Margin of Error - plus/minus 2 percent

As you can see, they are less than 1 percent apart, which is within the margin of error, so it's a toss-up. People will have to get out and vote if they haven't already.

On a side note, the survey asked about voter approval of President Donald Trump and Governor Phil Murphy. President Trump earned higher approval ratings than Murphy.

In New Jersey, the polls will be open on election day from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Eastern Time.
