Is clothing optional? At these resorts in New Jersey, that’s a big, bold YES.

Maybe you’ve joked about it. Maybe you’ve wondered what it would actually feel like to just…let it all go. No judgment, no outfits, no stress, just vibes.

I’ll never forget when we talked about the Sandy Hook nude beach on-air and I shared that my husband and I actually went.

What “Clothing-Optional” Really Means

Let me tell you, the calls that came in after that were hilarious. I was shocked at how many of you had tried it too! Clearly, curiosity gets the best of all of us at some point.

And honestly? Same.

I think that’s what draws people in, the curiosity, the “should we just try it?” energy, and maybe hearing a friend say, “okay but it’s actually kind of freeing.” Because that’s the word you hear over and over again, freeing. (Still not sure I’m ready to feel that free in front of strangers though, just being real).

Why People Are Drawn to Nudist Resorts

But here’s the wild part: you don’t have to travel far for this kind of experience. I had NO idea there were multiple clothing-optional resorts right here in New Jersey. Like, in our backyard.

And yes, one of them is actually one of the oldest nudist parks in the entire country.

A Surprising Look at Nudist Spots in New Jersey

If you’re feeling brave (or just curious 👀), here are three spots people are talking about:

  • Sky Farm Nudist Resort – This one typically requires a membership and is more of a private, community-style experience.
  • Goodland Country Club & Spa – One of the oldest nudist parks in the U.S., and yes, it’s right here in Jersey.
  • Rock Lodge Nudist Club – A popular option that does offer day passes if you’re just looking to dip your toe in (figuratively… or literally).

Some require memberships, some don’t. Some are full-on communities, others are more “come check it out for the day” kind of places.

Would I go back? Hmm, maybe. With my husband? Sure. Alone? Let’s not get crazy.

But hey, no judgment here. Whether you’re just curious, totally into it, or laughing your way through this like I am while writing it…

New Jersey really does have a little bit of everything.
