
New Forbes List: 3 New Jersey Billionaires Among Richest Americans!
If you win this week's Powerball you could get close to being one of the richest residents in New Jersey. The Top 3 richest Jersey residents in the Garden State are all
"billionaires". However, to make Forbes's "Richest in America" list you need to have at least $2.9 billion in worth, which is up from 2022 at $2.7 Billion. According to a recent Patch article did you know that "the 400 richest billionaires in America are worth $4.5 trillion, tying a record set in 2021." That's a pretty good chuck on change. About 13.6 % of the nation's debt. The new Forbes list of richest Americans features 3 billionaires from New Jersey.

As far as the richest individual in the world? Well, Elon Musk holds that title with over two hundred and fifty billion dollars in worth. The Tesla and SpaceX founder tops the wealthiest list for a second year in a row. But what about here in New Jersey?
Here in New Jersey our wealthiest resident is billionaire Rocco Commisso. The Telecom billionaire comes in at #114 on the Forbes 400 list. Commisso has an estimated 8 billion dollars in wealth.
According to Patch, the additional two billionaires here in New Jersey include:
"John Overdeck, the co-founder of Two Sigma, a New York City-based hedge fund."
"Peter Kellogg, who sold brokerage house Spear, Leeds & Kellogg to Goldman Sachs for $6.5 billion in cash and stock in 2000."
