If you're someone who does a lot of shopping in Brick, you may be glad to know that one long empty business will be empty no more in the coming months.

The former Jo-Ann's Fabric & Crafts store at Route 88 and Jack Martin Blvd in Brick has been sitting empty for a number of years, but according to Brick Shorebeat, Mayor John Ducey announced that the building will soon house an At Home Recreation location.

Personally, I have to breathe a bit of a sigh of relief at this news. I can't tell you how many times over the years I've gone there when I've needed something from a place like Jo-Ann's or Michaels, just to remember that the Jo-Ann's store has long been closed. For whatever reason, it was just one of those things that I could never remember!

At Home Recreation is a New Jersey based pool, patio, and holiday store that already has locations in East Brunswick, Manahawkin, and Hazlet. According to their website, the Brick location is expected to open in March.

Will you be happy to see business booming once again at this long empty storefront in 2017? Let us know in the comments section!
