Neptune pair, Long Branch man found with hard drugs in traffic stops by Ocean Police
Police in Ocean Township have announced the arrests of two narcotics related traffic stops leading to multiple charges.
Robert W. Alequin, 52, of Long Branch was pulled over along Roller Road on April 16 after committing a motor vehicle violation and when the officer walked up to the window, he found two hypodermic syringes.
Backup then arrived on scene and as officers continued to investigate they ended up finding Alequin in possession of crack cocaine and drug paraphernalia in addition to the hypodermic syringes.
Alequin arrested and transported to headquarters for processing, charged and then released on a criminal summons pending an initial court appearance.
Michael Shane, 21, and Michelle L. Smith, 20, both of Neptune were arrested on April 19 after being pulled over along Route 35 and Logan Road where officers investigating at the scene found them in possession of heroin, a weapon, drug paraphernalia and syringes.
Following their arrest, Shane and Smith were transported to headquarters for processing.
Both were charged and then released on a criminal summons pending an initial court appearance.
