Middletown baby burned by coffee, hospitalized

A 1-year-old Middletown boy suffered first-degree burns from a cup of coffee, according to police.

The toddler was hospitalized for first-degree burns to his torso, arm and shoulder on Sunday, according to Middletown Police Deputy Chief Steve Dollinger.

The baby was alert and conscious when he was taken to a  hospital. Dollinger had no other information about the incident on Monday.

Police have not disclosed the toddler's name.
