Let's fill your calendar with fun events until November shall we? I hope you are ready for some craft beer and salt air because The Point Pleasant Beach Chamber of Commerce will be holding their Beers on the Boards tasting event at Martell's Tiki Bar on Nov. 6th!

Hello August Please give summer a speeding ticket

The Beer and Borards event was originally scheduled for March 20, but they moved it to Nov 6th. Here is the plan, they will have two tasting sessions, 12:30 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m., and they will feature craft breweries from across New Jersey AND offer an all-you-can-eat buffet! The winning local beer will get their own tap at Martell's. The cost for tickets is $60 but that's a deal when you consider the all you can eat and all the beer you get to try.

They also offer a $25 designated driver ticket, which includes the buffet, and can be purchased on this website.

I love Martell's...by the way they open at 11am all summer long. As far as this event goes, it's smart to buy your tickets now! Cheers!

Ratings are based on six categories: affordability, weather, safety, economy, education and health, and quality of life. The cities ranged in population from 10,000 to 150,000, but they had to have at least one local beach listed on TripAdvisor. Read the full methodology here. From those rankings, we selected the top 50. Readers who live in California and Florida will be unsurprised to learn that many of towns featured here are in one of those two states.
