Margarita is waiting patiently for her forever home.

Popcorn Park Zoo

Margarita was just a timid kitten when she came to the Popcorn Park Rescue Zoo back in June, 2018 and she had really no experience with human interaction. She spent a good deal of time with her caretaker, learning to trust and overcome her fears, and she blossomed into such a sweet, happy cat. She's about 2 1/2 years old now and since she is still quite shy in new situations, both times she was adopted out failed, due to people not giving her the proper time and patience to adjust. If you do give her time and understanding, you'll see what an absolute darling Margarita is. She's so very sweet, personable, and affectionate. She just needs a caring, understanding family. Margarita is fine with other cats that are sweet and mellow like she is.

Check out Margarita's video, she makes all kinds of sounds:

Margarita is available for adoption at the Popcorn Park Zoo located at 1 Humane Way in Forked River. Due to covid-19, please call the shelter for an appointment first before heading out and meeting Margarita. The Popcorn Park's phone number is 609-693- 1900. The Popcorn Park Zoo is OPEN for visitors. The Popcorn Park Rescue Shelter is by appointment only. Bring the whole family to meet with Margarita.
