A Stafford Police Officer is bitten on the hand and leg and several other officers injured during the arrest of a Township resident. Police say the incident occurred at a TD Bank on Route 72 East Friday afternoon when 54-year-old Brian Pawlowski of Manahawkin became enraged at the driver behind who accidentally beeped her horn while waiting in the drive through teller line. Police say Pawlowski screamed obscenities at the female motorist and began striking her vehicle with his metal cane.

Police say Pawlowski also attempted to strike Patrolman Marc Potter with the cane when he became aggressive and combative during a field interview before biting him. A responding officer also suffered a hand injury and a Detective suffered a shoulder injury when attempting to take him into custody. Pawlowski is charged with disorderly person, resisting arrest and three counts of aggravated assault on police. He's in the Ocean County Jail in default of $50,000 bail.

The officers were treated for their injuries at Urgent Care and released.
