Let’s face it, when you are on the road, it’s a big win when you come across a great coffee shop. It’s even better when this delicious coffee shop has a drive-thru, since you are traveling.

I am the unofficial coffee expert at WOBM, so I feel a certain responsibility to tell you about great coffee experiences, and this one I have found in Morris County looks like a winner.

I’m talking about the Coffee Potter in Long Valley, Washington Township. This cool spot has gotten some great reviews, and it’s definitely on my “must do” list when I’m back in Morris County next time.

According to their website, “Built in 1958 as the Long Valley Post Office, the red-brick building at 24 Schooley’s Mountain Road has long been a cornerstone of community connection. After serving as a local bank and the Washington Township Tax Assessor’s Office, the structure sat vacant until Dave and Geralyn Hickey revitalized it in 2016 as The Coffee Potter.”

Today, the business is a family-run local business. “Leah Eckert and Long Valley brothers Wes and Kyle Jayne run the Coffee Potter. Together, they are committed to creating a welcoming space built on community, connection, and a great cup of coffee.”

By the way, if you have a furry friend, they have pet-friendly “pupucinos.”
