If you have ever driven down Bay Way in Lanoka Harbor during the holiday season, you've likely noticed the amazing display set up by the Sheppard Family. The lawn is covered in hundreds of hand painted characters, thousands of Christmas lights, and Santa has been known to appear in the back yard.

The family says the display is set up for the 39th season. However, this will be the final year. The display is lit up at 6pm nightly through Christmas. The house is located at 213 Bay Way (Google Map).

Santa will appear in the yard for photos from 7 until 8 pm on December 9th, 11th, 16th, 18th and 21st.

The display is a holiday tradition for so many. In fact, this tradition is personal for me. My family walks through almost every single Christmas Eve after dinner. I am not alone either. More than 250 comments on the Lacey, Buy Sell, Trade Facebook page are from locals expressing their gratitude for the family's display all of these years.

Many visitors say it's a family tradition that they started going to when they were kids, and now they're bringing their own families ever year.

One visitor wrote on Facebook, "Thank YOU! I was so sad to read this. I've been visiting your house every year since I was a little girl and for the past few years I've been taking my children. I'm glad I get to take them one last time. SO many good memories of visiting your Christmas display! We will be visiting several times this year." Her sentiments were shared by all of the other comments posted on the page as well.

For me personally, I always knew of this house as the "Lacey Christmas House," and we always visited a few times each season (including our annual visit after Christmas Eve dinner).  So I want to personally thank the Sheppard Family for years of memories.

If you haven't been to this house make it a point to stop by this year.
