Lakewood Man Convicted for Child Porn Distribution
A convicted child pornography trafficker from Lakewood faces up to 10 years in prison. Michael D. Miller heard his verdict Wednesday in Freehold, ending a two-week trial.
Miller, formerly of Keansburg, was arrested in February 2012, according to information from the office of acting Monmouth County Prosecutor Chris Grammiccioni. He was charged with a fourth-degree possession count and a second-degree count of distribution.
Investigators determined that Miller downloaded salacious images through a file-sharing network, and used file-sharing software to give others access to them.
The 10-year maximum term applies to the second-degree distribution conviction, and includes provisions under Megan's Law when he's released. The fourth-degree charge carries another possible 18 months.
