Lakehurst Police catch the ‘#NotSoSuperSmashBrothers’
Lakehurst Police have charged two Ocean County men with smashing side mirrors on 14 different vehicles in the borough all in one night last month.
Police have charged James R. Pasqualetto, 21, of Whiting and Joseph J. Mauceri IV, 21, of Lakehurst in connection to the incident on January 27.
It was around 8:33 am that day when police were dispatched to multiple residences in Lakehurst in reference to multiple side mirrors on fourteen different vehicles that were broken during the night.
The responding officer was able to obtain video footage (above and below) of the vehicle in question.
With your help they were able to locate a suspect, later identified as James R. Pasqualetto.
Police also found out that Pasqualetto had an active Berkeley Township Municipal Court warrant out for his arrest.
Pasqualetto was placed under arrest on the strength of that warrant and transported to Lakehurst Police Headquarters for processing.
Throughout their investigation, police determined that another male, identified as
Joseph J. Mauceri IV, had also been involved in this incident.
Both Pasqualetto and Mauceri IV were processed and charged with Criminal Mischief (3rd Degree).
Mauceri IV was issued a summons for the charge and released.
Pasqualetto was issued a warrant for the charge and transported to the Ocean County Jail where he was lodged.
Both subjects are pending a mandatory court appearance with the Ocean
County Superior Court.
