Since retiring from Comedy Central's "The Daily Show" in 2015, New Jersey native Jon Stewart has kept himself busy in the entertainment industry, politically, and also charitably.

Earlier this month, he and his wife got the official go-ahead to move forward with a farm, animal rescue, and education center in Colts Neck.

We told you back in the fall about Jon and Tracey Stewart's purchase of a farm on Route 537 right in the heart of Monmouth County, with hopes of turning the land into a place for education and charity. And now with the go ahead from Colts Neck's planning board, they can move forward with the project officially.

They say that they will start hiring staff right away, and are targeting 2018 for the opening of Hockhockson Farm. You can follow along with Tracey Stewart's blog by clicking here.
