On his Twitter feed, Politico writer @JakeSherman tweeted that Clinton told the crowd, “I want to thank my longtime friend, Jon Bon Jovi, for performing and for always being there for us.”
Jon has supported the Democrat ticket for President for years. He last campaigned for Obama in 2008, hosted a fundraiser at his home and played at Obama’s inauguration. He performed at a number of campaign events for John Kerry during the 2004 campaign and playing at Al Gore’ Live Earth concert in the Meadowlands in 2007.
Jon has even supported fictional Democratic hopefuls, making a cameo on the The West Wing. He played himself in one episode and appeared while campaigning for then-nominee Matt Santos.
