Joint Base Eyed For Security Training Center

A Pentagon decision will determine whether South Jersey's Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst will house a high-level military mission. The installation is one of four under consideration to be the U.S. Air Force Security Forces Regional Training Center. The service branch is merging six regional centers in a cost-cutting move. Shore Representative Jon Runyan (R-3), a member of the House Armed Services Committee, is lobbying to land the consolidated mission, eyeing a potential economic boost for the region.
