I'm writing this just before 1 p.m. on the Friday of Labor Day Weekend 2019.

As you can see in the photo below, the crush of people making their way to the Shore for Labor Day Weekend has very much begun.

I took the screenshot from the Waze app while I was on my way to work around 11:30 this morning.

As you can see, I was only doing 23 miles per hour with reports stretching south of heavy traffic that was only doing about 29 MPH.

We all know that it's going to get worse before it gets better, too.

If you have to make your way around Ocean County this afternoon and into this evening, you'll probably want to avoid the major roads, like the Garden State Parkway, Route 37 between the Parkway and the bridge, and Route 72 from the Parkway to LBI.

Of course, you can stay with 92.7 WOBM, the free WOBM app, and WOBM.com for the latest Auto Lenders Ocean County Traffic Watch reports throughout Labor Day Weekend.
