Even in a day and age of instant communication with email, there is still a timeless tradition that has been passed down through the generations - writing letters to Santa Claus.

And Jackson Mayor Michael Reina is making it his duty to make sure that Santa gets those letters from local kids!

Jackson Township announced that, "Mayor Michael Reina has scheduled a meeting with Santa Claus to personally hand deliver Santa letters written by children from Jackson Township."

If that's not an important meeting with an international dignitary, I don't know what is!

So if you live in Jackson, here's what you need to know to get your letter directly to Santa:

  • Be sure to include your child's name, age, and address.
  • Send the letters to: Santa Claus c/o Mayor Michael Reina, 95 West Veterans Highway, Jackson, NJ 08527.
  • Of course, Santa has a lot of kids to write back to, so to make sure that your child will hear from the big guy in time, letters must be received at the Mayor's office by Friday, December 8th.
