New Details Emerge in Fiery Ocean County Crash That Claimed Teen’s Life
According to authorities in Ocean County, a 16-year-old boy was killed and two others were injured in a fiery crash in Jackson Township on Wednesday.

According to a report from Patch, "The Ocean County Prosecutor's Office said the boy was driving a 2009 Nissan Altima west on East Veterans Highway when his car was hit by a 2019 Ford F-150 about 5:55 p.m. The pickup truck, which was driven by an 18-year-old woman, was headed east and crossed into the westbound lanes near Westlake Court, authorities said."
Jackson Township Police reported that the impact of the accident caused the Nissan to catch fire. Witnesses at the scene pulled the boy from the vehicle and began CPR. The boy, however, was a victim of serious injuries and, after being transferred to Monmouth Medical Center Southern Campus in Lakewood, died.
