Two drivers are listed in stable condition in the aftermath of a horrendous three-car crash in Jackson, that erupted in the middle of Friday afternoon's rush hour. Police are asking anyone who witnessed it to contact them.

Charles Monk, 47, of Jackson, and Justine Seares, 23, of Freehold, were flown to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune from the spot on Toms River Road (Route 571) on March 24. Police said that the third driver, Glenn Sabatino, Jr., 34, of Hamilton, avoided injuries and was released at the scene.

According to police, Monk's southbound 2013 Hyundai Sonata drifted into the oncoming side of the county road at about 5:30 PM, triggering the crash.

Officers described Seares's injuries as "serious," and added that she was trapped inside her 2010 Honda CRV.

Sabatino, in a 2009 Toyota SXC, sustained no injuries, police sais.

Information germane to the collision can be called to 732-928-1111. The probe is being conducted by Police Officers Donald Lasko, Brad Reider and Edward Travisano, under supervision of Sergeant George Vidalis.

Members of the Cassville Fire Company, Quality First Aid and MONOC paramedics responded to the crash site, along with the Ocean County Sheriff's Crime Scene Investigation Unit and investigator Brant Uricks of the County Prosecutor's office.
