This Waterfront Bar in Forked River Might Be the Best Spot for Live Music at the Jersey Shore

Have you ever been so blown away watching a band at the Jersey Shore that you instantly became a huge fan? That happened to me last night, and a large part of what made me like this band so much was the venue they were playing at.

If you're not familiar with the Marshall Morlock Band, do yourself a favor and check them out. It's a three-piece band out of Key West, Florida, fronted by a father-and-son duo, Scott and Marshall Morlock, with their drummer, Jon Allen, keeping everything together.

I've been trying to see these guys for months; they usually only tour New Jersey once a summer, but this year they made the trek up to the Garden State twice, and I got to witness their raw energy live at what may be my new favorite waterfront bar.. Check them out taking on Styx's Come Sail Away.

The band was electric, and not only is Marshall one of the best guitar players I've ever seen play in my life, but watching their bass player, Scott, pull in double duty on both the Bass and the Keys was wild to get to watch.

I think part of what made this such a cool performance was also the venue they were playing at. My wife and I had never been to the Waterfront Inn before, in Forked River, and after our experience last night, we plan on making that place a staple.

What Makes The Waterfront Inn In Forked River So Special?

It's off the beaten path, so to speak, at the very end of East Lacey Road in Forked River, off Route 9, and it's one of the restaurants that just keeps going and going. They have a beautiful outdoor bar that overlooks the water. A deck bar that gives you views for days, as well as an expansive year-round bar and restaurant inside.

The Waterfront Inn Has a Dog-Friendly Section

They've even got a dog-friendly section of the bar, so if you do bring your four-legged friend, they have a spot to hang out with you as well.

The Food At The Waterfront Inn Is Amazing

To top it all off, the food was amazing. I had a Southwest Chicken Wrap, and my wife had a Chicken Parm Sub, and needless to say, we were stuffed by the time dinner was over.

It never ceases to amaze me how many cool places there are around the Jersey Shore to see live music.
