Why Are Businesses In New Jersey Closing So Often?
This happens for a variety of reasons; the cost of operating has just gotten too high, owners are looking to retire and enjoy some much-deserved time away from work, sometimes a business doesn't get its lease renewed, and to no fault of its own, it's out of a place to operate.
We're seeing this happen to a popular pizza shop in Mahwah, after 5 years of building a name and reputation for itself as a serious player in the world of New Jersey pizza, it's having to close up shop.
A Beloved Pizzaeria In Mahwah, NJ Is Now Closing For Good

The announcement came via social media, with the owners stating that after 5 years of serving the local community, SQ Pizza in Mahwah is permanently closing its doors.
The comments were filled with support, and outcries saying this was their favorite place to grab a pie.
SQ Pizza In Montvale, NJ Will Remain Open
According to SQ Pizza's Instagram page, its location in Montvale will remain open, which is only a 15-minute drive from the Mahwah location.
SQ Pizza is known for making some pretty delicious-looking custom pies, with specials like Jalapeno Ranch and Carne Asada pies.
They load their pies up with toppings, too.
SQ Pizza is also known for serving fresh, house-made gelato, which they say is good whether you have it in the heat of summer or the dead of winter.
No matter what you get, Mahwah will miss this pizza shop.
