It’s Official – Southern Ocean County Is Getting A Chipotle

Ocean County fans of Chipotle, rejoice, because the southern end of the county will officially be getting a location of the quick-service Mexican favorite.

According to the Asbury Park Press, the former Sonic Drive-In location just off of Route 72 in Stafford Township (the Sonic's address was 451 Martin Truex Jr. Blvd in Manahawkin) will become a brand new Chipotle in the coming months.

The report leaves some wiggle room as far as a date for serving up burritos goes, saying that the new Chipotle will open, "sometime this winter".

Currently, the closest Chipotle locations to southern Ocean County are on Route 37 in Toms River and in Brick Plaza in Brick.
