Is a Pork Roll Price Hike in Our Future?

Nothing says "Jersey" quite like pork roll. It's the delicious mystery meat that mystifies out of staters. But here in the Garden State we love our sliced ham and miss it when we're away from home. But could pork roll futures be going up?

Early Tuesday morning a three alarm fire broke out at a pork roll factory in Trenton. (Thankfully, nobody was hurt so we can take this story with a pinch of salt...or ketchup if you prefer).

Catastrophic oil rig accidents can impact gas prices. So is it safe to assume that the same is true for the price point of tubular spiced ham?

Again, thankfully nobody was hurt, but I may stock up next time I see pork roll on sale just to be safe!
