I've been having trouble with my iPhone lately.  It's moving very slooooowly.  Webpages are not loading.  Apps are taking a long time to open.  Videos are not playing.

As a way to troubleshoot, I decided to remove the app that's taking up the most space in my device:  Facebook.  The timing felt right.  It's been feed after feed of political comments and arguments and I'm sick of it all.  I'm going to go on a bit of a Facebook fast.  Mind you, this is not me going "cold turkey."  I'll still check the site but only from a computer and only for a limited time each day.

I've been working on ways to be more productive and realize that I'm spending too much time mindlessly scrolling through social media.  I love feeling connected to all my contacts.  I enjoy seeing their pictures and non-political posts.  But right now, the atmosphere is a bit too hostile so I feel the need to curtail the amount of time I spend there.

I've seen posts from other people who are going off line for a while.  Are you one of them?  Is it because of all the negativity?  Or because it's kind of a time suck?  Or both?
