Iconic Wildwood, NJ Tram-Car is Celebrating 75, And This Weekend It’s a Cheap Ride

My favorite thing in Wildwood is the tram-car and this year they are celebrating 75 years.

Not only is the tram car iconic, but "Watch the tram-car, please" you can hear everywhere.

It got me thinking, Seaside Heights boardwalk would be perfect for a tram-car. I realize the Wildwood boardwalk is a lot wider, but they could make a condensed version of one.

They could have the same length, and the whole tram could be a little thinner. Maybe a little shorter. It could bring money into Seaside and it would give people options if they were to park at one side of the boardwalk or the other end.

Personally, I would love to see the tram car a little closer than Wildwood. I guess I'm being selfish.

75 years of the tram-car in Wildwood, it's actually this weekend June 11th, 1949, according to nj.com. And this Sunday, June 11th, 2023 you'll get a cheap ride on the fabulous tram-car. It will be .75 for a tram-car ride. WOW, amazing.

Can you even imagine, 75 years ago a ride on the tram car was .10. Wish it was only .10 this Sunday. But, still .75 is totally worth the ride.

If you've never been to Wildwood, they have a tramcar that goes from one end of the boardwalk to the other and you constantly hear "Watch the tram-car, please" I know it's a little annoying to hear, but everyone knows when they hear it. And, you get out of the way of the tram car.
