As we start to see the signs of spring across Ocean County (both pleasant and unpleasant), it's hard to miss the large, flowering trees that have burst to life along Water Street in Toms River.

While they are in the same family as the fruit that we all know and love, the variety that we have here don't produce anything worth eating.

While they look really nice this time of year, some also point out that the odor they produce can be rather unpleasant.

So, while it might be better to enjoy the blooms of Huddy Park from a distance, it is truly a sign that spring has arrived!
