Hazlet Police looking for second suspect in Wednesday night burglary
One suspect found, another still on the run this morning in Monmouth County.
Hazlet Police found a man wanted from a residential burglary that took place last night behind the old Kmart on Route 35.
This suspect had at the time was spotted on Brooklawn Drive.
He then joined forces with a second suspect around 7:52 pm that Hazlet Police Officers witnessed where both men attempted to break into a residence on Asleigh Drive.
Both men then fled but one of them was located by a K9 in the woods behind Pep Boys and arrested by Cerliones.
Several local, county, state and Federal agencies joined Hazlet Police in the search and investigation.
Hazlet Police reported that with the help of officers from many other jurisdictions they extensively searched the neighborhoods in the vicinity of the attempted burglary for the hours utilizing their K9's and a State Police Helicopter.
The investigation and search for the second suspect continues and anyone with information is urged to call Hazlet Police if you hear or see something suspicious at 732-264-6565.
